Our spotlight today is on Pattie Durham who just became a woman entrepreneur…
Pattie Durham is proud to be a ‘military brat’ and lived in Texas, California and Hawaii before her family returned to her mother’s home in the Wichita, KS area.
Pattie started her career path here first getting a degree in Criminal Justice and then working on her masters. However, she soon realized she didn't actually want to work with criminals!!! But she still had a dream job in mind and that was to work for the FBI. However, during the interviews she learned she would have to move away from Wichita and she decided that was not part of realizing that dream…
So during her working years Pattie came up with some fabulous ideas, but stayed in the role of employee for almost 13 years. The last 3 she worked for Steve Fischer at VR Business Brokers where she learned A LOT about what to do and what not to do. It was there that she honed some of the skills she would soon need as she began to dream again.
Because during this time, the spark of being an entrepreneur that was always there re-emerged and quickly became a full flame of action and reality!
