This is a loaded subject and was triggered by my dentist appointment today! No, I'm not applauding or complaining, just reflecting on all the messages a simple smile can portray.

Cynthia and I recently talked about first impressions, just 4 little tips, but I'm going to expand on that just a bit. How do you react when you meet a business person for the first time and their smile shows broken or missing teeth?

We try not to judge, but isn't your very first impression, oh my goodness? If that person isn't taking care of her teeth, her health, her appearance can I trust her to do business with? I'm not saying we need Hollywood picture perfect teeth, but a healthy smile reflects a great deal of who you are.

I wasn't thrilled about going to get a new crown today to replace one that had a cavity under it. My anxiety level was off the chart worried about the possibility of a root canal. And, of course, the cost is not cheap for good dental work. However, it is your health, and that smile that spreads from your heart to your eyes, and to your mouth which sends a very big message!

I'd love for you to listen and share your thoughts. And then share this, maybe someone you know is beautiful except for that smile and you just don't know how to share this message. And thank you for listening. You make my day when I see you've listened.

Passing On A Smile,

Gail
